Pepper yellow leaf curl virus is a begomovirus that causes yellowing, leaf curling, stunting, and yield loss in chili peppers across Indonesia. It is primarily transmitted by the whitefly (Bemisia tabaci), with possible but inconsistent seed transmission, and can infect other plants, including weeds and related crops.
